I don't even know why I felt the need to join these stupid "elite" competition comms anyway. It's not even like I want to compete. I just thought it'd be a good way to get my stuff out there and see some other really awesome fanart, you know? And how much do I feel like 12-year-old middle school Maddie right now? so much! Getting rejected sucks

I've been a member of a few competitive comms and I mostly got bored. I like doing stuff on my own and while it's slow going at first, you just post links to communities to share your stuff and eventually people in fandom will sit up and take notice.

Forget about them. No worries. Just have fun making art and sharing it. That's all that matters. *hugs*

Well it's certainly good to hear that I'm not missing out on anything particularly important =) I'm about t-minus two minutes from finally doing my own big post of icons anyway so whooo needs 'em! Not Madolyn. That's for sures.
