so ken finally fuckin emailed me and that was nice. i just wish i could hear from him and him be like "i'm having an awesome day...this happened and this ...blah blah blah" but he always seems to be so down. i wish there was something i could do from ohio besides scream in his ear how much i miss him

But the eyes you watch me with, so distant and alone, can't see what you do to me, the enormous absurd grins that you coax out of me just by mentioning my name in your online journal. You can't witness the monofilamental thread that holds me in place. Your beatific smile, the way you say "hi", the way you get excited about summer, and I can hear it in your voice. The way you smile when I'm not listening. You can't feel the huge worry I carry that I'll repeat myself too often, and it'll all become meaningless in the jumble.
