So catilinarian and I watched the premiere of "Jerico" on ITV tonight. A few thoughts:

1. Robert Lindsey has gotten sexier with age, but it might just be that he has better hair now than in the 70's.

2. "You drive your constables too hard." Ooh - er - vicar ...

3. There's DEFINITE slashy potential between Jericho and his young eager constable Caldecott.

Yeah, your version was sexier - but still, mad love to Bremner and company just for doing it!

And why, why, WHY have men given up the Jericho-era suits/fedoras/coats/scarves/pocket watches/leather gloves/cigarette cases/CUFFLINKS and all other gloriously sexy accoutrements of manhood? Not only are those suits flattering on just about everyone, not only were they made to last forever, but when you see a man in one of those day in, day out, the first glimpse of his throat or his naked wrists is shockingly erotic. We've lost that subtlety these days.
