i am more in love than i ever thought possible. i wonder how many people feel love to this extreme. really, it's amazing. not really words to describe so posting about it is kinda dumb

I'll help you out. So, one thing I didn't realize about higher elevations like Denver (and Laramie) is that it's REALLY dry. Like, it's the biggest influencer in the fact that I get dehydrated, faint and piss my pants. The higher you go, the more dry it is... so Laramie is about 1,0000 ft worse than denver. If you're wanting a small town feel, Denver IS huge, but it really does have a small town feel. Especially depending on the neighborhood, and Denver is all about it's neighborhoods (like how LA has a different town all close together, Denver has the neighborhoods... it's one of the first things you should conceptualize if you come here... it'll make getting directions WAY easier). I don't know anything about the pharmacies here. CO has REALLY low taxes cuz of this thing called TABoR laws, so you won't be paying a lot for state taxes(on the flip side, it means they don't have much money for state schools, so that part isn't so great). Are you at the downtown campus? The commute thing could be cool if you can use the light rail here

all in all, if you have time in Denver, it's a pretty awesome place. Which is sad for me, cuz I'm usually busy... and the dry thing makes it a sucky place for me. Also, the first REI is here, so they have a monthly meeting thing for people who are new to the area so that you can learn about all the outdoor things to do.
thank you! those are some really good things to look forward to. yea we would be at the downtown campus. we figured we'll live close to campus for a few months, learn the neighborhoods, then buy a house. i'm really excited about the affordability of real estate in both denver and laramie. and that is a good point about the museums and sushi, i might miss those in laramie. we'll check out that rei meeting if we end up in denver, that sounds cool.
thanks jackie, i know you don't have much time so i really value your time in giving me input.
The way I see it, pretty much anywhere* is an adventure. A new place to explore, a new culture to experience, new types of food, etc. But I know what it's like... when Joe was thinking of doing the Air Force we would have moved to Ohio, and I managed to fall in love with the place. So, wherever you end up you'll be good :-)
