I'm mostly commenting on side things since all I've got to say on the Marik issues/growth is generally nodding along and going "yep" a lot.

But I like that take layout of his thinking process when things don't go his way, particularly since I'm just now analyzing the end of the Slifer duel. x3

And that Special One gives an interesting look at the DR experience for him (and maybe a little excusing for rebellion besides the budding teenageness of brunch?) given there's now lots of him around, and there's not just One special one about, pushing other people onto his own "high" level? idek.

Course, I might still put in a protest about the level Yami no Bakura's arrogance in comparison to him. I definitely agree on his reasoning behind his confidence, but even backed up arrogance is still arrogance, and I'll never get over how him turning people into figurines in his debut (not to mention the MW players) is such a great symbolism, intentional or not of him seeing everyone around him as a mere toy, or tool to be used only as long as it' ( ... )

Yeah, in retrospect putting YnB in here is a bit of a stretch - he probably has the most self-confidence of the whole cast. I'd say maybe "arrogance" wasn't what I meant here but that'd just get into semantic nitpicking, which I don't want to do since I definitely see your point. XD XD XD I agree completely with everything you say about him (and I finally found the last volume!!!! So there will be all kinds of notes and squee coming as well as OH GOD TAKAHASHI DAT LOOPHOLE in several instances but ffffffff I loved so much of it ( ... )

Well, aside from saying thesaurus.com being my fav writing tool site and loving semantics - YAY! I shall have to hear these notes and squees and loopholes. I demand it ( ... )
