Lelouch sighed, tossing his books on the desk and locking his bedroom door behind him. What a day - if it wasn't enough his portal to Delaware was malfunctioning again (people often emerged from it with the words "everything is fabulous" stuck in their heads), that idiot of a hallmate had been chasing him the whole afternoon, determined to prove his abs were superior. But at last, he could change into his pajamas and relax.

"I knew it," said a voice from his closet as Lelouch removed his shirt; there were some days, it seemed, even Zero couldn't win.

At first he hadn't much cared for the little rascal, but it wasn't without its entertainment value.

2. Licorice and Wilted
They had their first fight, as most new lovers do, over a trivial matter.
"You overthrew me," growled Licorice, gripping her knife.
"I'm not used to hunger," Wilted pointed out, "and that's a really nice steak."

3. Luna and Lily
They danced, and Luna led; Lily trailed behind, always a step out of line.
They ate, and Luna ordered; Lily kept her eyes down, the better to consume her portion as quickly as possible.
They kissed, and Luna instigated; but Lily led their retreat to more solitary quarters.
