A note on friending

1) If I have met you IRL, and you friend me, I will probably friend you back.

2) I don't friend more than 1 person per day. Day = midnight to midnight, Central time zone, if you needed my definition here.

3) I have been friended by 4 people (Edit: Make that 5) in the past 36 hours. I intend to friend all of them back, but it's not going to ( Read more... )

No worries. (:

I friend and unfriend on a fairly regular basis to avoid a huge list of people I don't know or don't want to read, so I get you here. (:

I just figured I'd let folks know what my policy is, to head off any drama. I'm drama-avoidant. Usually, sufficient information is enough to keep things from getting out of hand, at least in my recent experience.

BTW, do you ever try reading on filters? Set up a filter for the folks you really want to keep current with, another for the people you care about but don't mind getting a few days behind on every so often, and maybe a third of people you'll read if you have the time, but can skip guilt-free if you don't. I can talk you through how to read on the filter once you have it if you want me to. (This is the only thing that keeps my FL at all manageable -- I keep up with the folks that may need my input immediately on one filter, and everyone else is on another filter, and I get behind on the second filter regularly, but the people who need me the most get my attention when they need it.)

I've done that, yes. I find that I usually wind up reading my default list anyway. (: Also, I keep my journal f-locked, so I make it a point to only friend people I actually want reading my journal, which are generally the ones who I want to be reading. (;

Thanks for friending me! Welcome to my crazy little world.

I haven't been posting much recently as part of a comprehensive strategy to keep you from being overwhelmed. At least that's my story, to which I am sticking... for the moment ;)

Hey, man, I appreciate your sacrifice. ;)

When you do post, the posts tend to be well-written, which is always a pleasure.

Recently I've added so many people to my friends list that I can barely keep up with everything people write anymore. It's not a surprise that you'd want to keep things controlled, if even for a little bit.
