That's not the least of this weekend's traffic related obnoxiousness. I was in Houston today, and Houston was actually *less* nerve-wracking than Austin, at least today. (A rare event, but less rare than it used to be..)

All I can add is that I wish people understood the meaning of going with the flow of traffic, and respected some form of lane discipline .. and were less inclined to a) park themselves in the left lane at significantly below the average traffic speed, or b) use every intimidation tactic imaginable to coerce people into getting out of "their" lane so they can drive significantly *above* the average traffic speed. Either kind of turbulence in the flow is dangerous ..

What would be funny is if a little sedan passed it by going off the road. Meanwhile the hummer, the supposed champion of Destroying Nature™ stays safe on the road.
