I've been through this both from the customer's side and from the tech support side. Few things suck worse than having something that doesn't work for reasons nobody fully understands, whether it's the product sitting on your desk or the product someone is calling you for help with. I hope they find the fix for it soon .. {hug}

I liked it so much I bought 3 more when they were discontinued a few years back for about $40 a piece.
Sure enough, they've managed to skyrocket in price amongst enthusiasts....
Unfortunately logitech is the only player left in town, so if you want a modern trackball, you're SOL.
I'd suggest finding a model that works and then stocking up.
