I've been kind of ambivalent about this whole thing since he originally fled the country. (I only knew about it then because, some time before all this happened to begin with, someone chose to compliment me by telling me I looked a lot like him. I did, then, look like him, then. I no longer do, and as things stand now, I'm kind of glad I don't.) I was under the impression he was facing a mandatory life sentence, which is fairly typical for the same offense these days, and was sort of thinking that since he hadn't done any such thing since, it might be better left alone.
If he fled to avoid a little more than half of a 90 day jail sentence, I agree with you, that's just inexcusable, and he deserves the consequences. I'm sure it will no longer be a matter of serving the rest of that 90 day sentence, with however many counts of unlawful flight he's facing. And I'm not inclined to be sympathetic even so.
Yes. I've seen that link in several places. Mostly this post was for the benefit of someone who was interested in the dang list that took up a ridiculous number of screens.
