My theory is if the clouds stayed thick and sun never came out...we'd still have a fair amount of snow on the ground. I LOVE the sun and soak it up as much as I can...but when you get something as rare as snow in Austin...if it would just take the "snow day" then we'd get to enjoy the beauty that much longer...you know?
Yeah. Not as great an option when you're iced into your neighborhood and your kid gets an injury that should be seen in the ER ASAP. (That one has happened here. NOT fun.)
At least I've never messed up a vehicle driving in weather somewhat milder than this morning's, and I've driven in weather somewhat milder than this morning's and witnessed the aftermath of a bunch of collisions, so it's more than just luck I've had there. (I never really drove much at all in bad conditions in New England, but boy I was exposed to years and years of theory on the subject....)

I usually make myself and family so stoned on outside play & TV that there is no reason to ever go out on the roads. ;)
