Cap keeping ALmanzo company during that lonely winter with Laura away. And Cap goading Almanzo on going though with the plan of getting Laura through the blizzard, except secretly hoping he wouldn't...
Hey babes. Ah, I am so absolutely behind the LJ curve and out of the LJ loop and generally feeling like a contortionist that I had to squint really hard just to understand what this was all about. I blame the Wincest. It eats your life y'know? Should come with a health warning. May result in brain death. And eternal damnation in the Speshul Hell. Handbasket optional. *g*
So this is a drive-by halloo in your direction in the spirit of nostalgia and good fellowship.
Oh, I thank you for that halloo! I know what you mean about nostalgia too. :) Not enough time to do lj things and I CANNOT keep up with the fbslash anymore, because we are too menny.
I find the Wincest very alluring but haven't seen enough episodes to really get it. There is no shame. I'll be in the hell booth next door reserved for those who dabbled in Weasley twincest, which on balance has got to be worse. Next time you drive by, rec me some recs. Are you writing it?
Ah mi amiga, I would passionately love to be writing The Cest de Win for it doth fit so many of the slash bills it verges on the ridiculous. Theirloveisentirelycanon and conflicted and other-worldly and the protagonists are insanely endowed with Teh Pretty and Teh Snarky.
But (and here I am serving up the usual pathetic and lukewarm getout clause so beloved of the lazy scribbler,) what is already written (and still emerging dammit)in the fandom is too bloody good and I quail at the mere prospect. Lovely challenge though, the emo-overload, the erotic naughtiness, the guns ha ha - although I fear if asked to write dialogue in American the result would be more reminiscent of Damon Runyon when it should aspire to, well, I'm thinking John Cheever. Two nations divided by the same language. *g* But as is always thus in the circs., the brain is restless and the subsconscience keeps spewing up scenaria. Christmas maybe? Like I don't say that about everything. Oh, hello cowardice, you again? Hee
( ... )
Oooo, hang on though. Long-term memory kicked in, unbelievably for me.
I liked this enormously and I think you'll understand precisely why because, well, Greek mythology and Supernatural? A marriage made in heaven. Or hell. Whichever.... And if I don't tell you if it is spoilerish or not, then it won't be spoilerish, will it? Hee! Win-win. Hope you enjoy hun...
Bwee! I'm so glad you're doing this even though I don't think I recognise a single one of those fandoms. Muchly looking forward to reading whatever it is you write, apart from anything else. I too cannot quite face signing up for the football one this year.
You would love love love G M Fenn, trust me. Yuletide is a bit like homework isn't it? Good homework of course - but it's like you have a task, with perameters, and you just have to do it or get thrashed. Comforting.
