[ This feels slightly more dangerous than any other mission they've been on, Bucky hanging from the ledge of Steve's window, his feet stretched to a silent and dark balcony below, They're three floors up, the fall won't kill him, but it'll be damn hard to explain why he's scaling each hotel room in the middle of the night.
So he just keeps working at tricking the lock with his knife, blade edged in under. A shadow passes over the light spilling from the window. In a hush. ]
[ He knows it is, who else would be stupid enough to climb up the side of a building and try to break in? He expected a light tap at the door, maybe an empty corridor until the coast was clear, but not exactly this.
He can make out Bucky's features even with the light reflecting the room back and making it difficult to see out, quickly pulling the catch free as quietly as physically possible and sliding up the window.
Voice low. ] Jesus, Bucky, you never heard of a door?
[ He has to tug himself up and through, falling to the other side of the window with a thump and a muttered laugh. Grinning up at Steve. ] Why use the door when I can scale walls, huh Buddy? Now lock that thing, pull the curtains, and give me a hand, yeah? I know you wanna.
[ Laughing, Steve does as he's told, pulling the window down until it slides into place, flipping the lock to keep it firmly shut, and draws the curtains.
He offers a hand for Bucky to take, grabs him under the shoulder with the other, and helps to pull him up. ] I was beginning to think you weren't coming.
