The Hurt Locker was so bad that, despite my frugality, I had to walk out after about 40 minutes. To add insult to injury, the director dedicated her Oscar to the men and women in uniform. I have no words ( Read more... )

Надо же, а у меня "The Hurt Locker" не вызвал такой негативной реакции, наверное потому, что я не знаю обо всех этих неточностях и несуразностях. Но что мне показалось beyond ridiculous так это "Аватар", особенно в каком свете представлены "враги" и в их лице американские захватчики.

Ну дык это. Мы ж уже выбирали недавно между белой тетей и черным дядей с известным результатом. Теперь надо было удовлетворить феминисток, что и произошло. Ура ура ура.

i was hoping that someone in the comments would explain me what is so great and wonderful about this film (which to me is also OK but not bigelow's best or best picture). So far, I haven't heard a well-reasoned argument from any proponent of HL...

i really felt that precious was an amazing movie. and the leading actress in it certainly deserves the oscar, in my opinion.

I like Point Break more than this movie. I heard that Strange Days is a good movie as well. I thought it was ok, not great.

Кинишка слабенькая конечно... странно что дали за нее Оскара. Ну а правдоподобно или нет - это вопрос второй ИМХО, т.к. это же не документальный фильм.

In my mind "Basterds" was a lot more interesting, so was "Up"... :)
