We have missed the annual New Year corporate party on account of our beloved Alice hiding my wallet ... again. She likes to take mission-critical items (i.e. keys, cell phones, wallets) and hide them throughout the house, often in hard-to-find places (e.g. casseroles in cupboards, buckets in closets, etc ( Read more... )

she just repeats "wallet" and "daddy" when i interrogate her. like, she has no idea what is going on.

i think that your suggestion is very much on point - maybe a bit of barbed wire around it just to keep everyone honest.
