Last night was pretty random. I saw Aaron for the first time in what felt like ages (even though it was only 3 days)and he wanted to go buy a bottle of Jack Daniels. So at like 9:50, we left to go to seaveiw. The supermarket didn't have any. So then we drove all around melbourne to like 5 different bottle-os, and none were open. He was getting ( Read more... )

We had that problem once. Scotty and I were getting a lift to Piotr's with Piotr's friend. So we got him to buy us some alcohol. Scotty went in with the guy to buy it, but they wouldn't sell it to us because Scotty wasn't 18 at the time. That's so shit, if a mum went in with her kid would they not sell the parent alcohol because the kid was underage?

Crazy kids. We got the alcohol in the end.

It's funny you should say that. My mum was telling me that one of her friends went into Safeway, with her 16 year old daughter, to buy some drinks for a family thing they were having at their house that night. The drinks weren't for the daughter to drink, but for the adults. They were talking about the different flavours of vodka cruisers and the like, and then picked some out and went to the register. The guy refused to sell the alcohol to a 40 something year old woman because he "thought the drinks were going to be given to the minor." So my mum's friend said "the drinks are not for her, but she's my daughter and if I want to buy her alcohol, I will, now I'm going up the road to the drive through bottle shop to buy BOTH of us some alcohol, and I'm never buying drinks in here again." and walked out of the shop. How fantastic.
