File formats meet mad science

I don't usually post links here to my blog, "Mad File Format Science," but I had so much fun writing about DNA storage that I wanted to mention it here. When you're talking about optically reading DNA encoded in base 3, fluorescent parity nucleotides, and zettabytes in the size of a sugar cube, that's mad science at its best

I find myself wondering what a creature with DNA that encodes, say, a Microsoft Word executable would look like, but the phrase "End of the world" keeps springing to mind...
