It looks as if the person who broke into the UK Filk Archive and posted a false notice of my death is getting more deranged. Based on an email I got, he's now trying to intimidate the hosts of a West Coast filksing. He has software to put together fragments of people's voices, and has used it in the past to threaten people and make it appear that I

Might still be worth getting law enforcement involved; this is rising to and past harassment levels.

I talked with Gerry on the phone. He's not worried.

It would be good to chase down this person, but it's difficult to locate the perpetrator. Back in 2001, I spent a thousand or more trying to bring a lawsuit against Schulz and Wirkus, all of which went into the lawyer's pocket with nothing to show. That was when they were provably harassing me from a commercial website. Right now? I think it's Schulz, but it could be Wirkus or even Meyrowitz, the person who ran the website.

However, "Manload's" latest was to threaten Leslie Fish. The problem may take care of itself. :)

Only if there's a reason to. He's trying to cause distress to my friends, as a way of striking at me - ultimately, as a way of striking at a universe that won't give him what he wants. I won't help him alarm people if I can avoid it.
