i'm a 30-something

on sunday i turned 30. i have mixed emotions about it all. there are many things i am happy about and a handful of things i am not. i had my bday party on a friend's rooftop and it was really fun, but it didn't live up to last year's birthday jubileigh. how could it when plans didn't solidify until relatively last minute and jason didn't play?

I'll be joining the Club 30 in about 19 months. Eeek! I mean, whatever, all the cool people I know are 30 or about to be, so it's no big thing. Our thirties are going to be epic!

I turned 30 in February, and it sucked. Thinking about where and what I thought I should be at this age versus all that I actually am was annoying, but thankfully most of those feelings have passed. Being an "adult" is hard ;)
