Well, firstly thanks for the messages last weekend. I managed to get the computer into safe mode eventually and spent the next 6 hours transferring all my stuff from the main computer to my laptop via my 1 gig memory stick, and then from my laptop onto the network drive. Thank you writing motivation. 1 week ago when I was recovering from Expo and couldn't start because it wasn't November you were knocking at the inside of my cranium. Now I'm sat in front of the computer, ready to get the word count moving, and you've pissed off. Freaking brilliant.

With three hours to go before the challenge, I was finishing my plot outline, working on my characters, brushing up on writing techniques, and typing 70 words per minute on half a cup of coffee and a fun size Mars bar. I was ready. -

So, the start of Nano is approximately 31 hours away. I have a bit of spare time having come home from work early after the dentist. I could be getting some notes together to plan my novel, I could be working on some characters. Instead, I'm finding Nano-themed icons for my LJ. Yep, that pretty much sums up the next 4 weeks... -

Expo was a lot of fun, especially the social side - got to spend lots of time with the usual convention suspects (you know who you are), saw Jace again properly for the first time in at least 2 years, and got to know Mosey a lot better.
