Should of argued with the dude more! There was a class action lawsuit that forced them to repair RRoD for free!

In California. And I think that ultimately only applied to consoles sold during the launch window.

No I got my repaired about a year ago, with a 2 yr old box.

Then it would fall under the 3-year warranty, which covers general hardware issues.

Pay $200 more >> get PS3 slim >> enjoy games for next 6 years

That would deprive him of a good version of Bayonetta which he already paid for and Left 4 Dead 2. Also $200 is a lot of money.
