Revived Heart (Sequel to
Hearts)
Pairing :Hyukhae (what else I can write)
Rating : PG
Summary : It’s Hyukjae’s heart.
WC : 1078
Warning : Unbeta-ed, some wrong cardiac part's names.
A/N : Metaphor-ish like Hearts. Taken from Hyukjae’s heart’ side, the point of view is weird, and in the end, the whole plot is weird too. I don’t know, the idea came up to my mind when I’m going to take a nap. So, I don’t think it’s good enough. Some scenes are based on Hearts, but I can say, it’s safe to read this without reading Hearts first.
A/N 2 : I've unlocked
Hearts to whoever who needs reference.
Revived Heart
The heart jumped slightly from its place. Making weird rhythms, out of beat but somehow felt right. Donghae, the first time, seven years ago, the ears heard that name, the eyes saw the form, and by nature the nervous system sent the information by neurons to grey matter and the brain kept that name and that Donghae’s form. In three years, the nervous system knew that name more familiar than anyone else, acted and reacted a bit weirdly every time that name was mentioned, nervous system on the skin cringed when it touched that Donghae, and the most dangerous, when the brain almost stopped working and felt like detached the connection one part to each part. For the heart, when the eyes saw that Donghae’s form, somehow, it affected the heart’s function, pumping more, beating faster, and felt like dropping to the stomach.
The heart was curious, what kind of disease Donghae was. The blood from all over the body said, they didn’t get infected by any virus, and from their color and how they came out and in from the heart normally, the heart knew, the blood was not the case. The liver was fine too, said the blood, every part of the body was fine too, though the blood agreed, how that Donghae affected them too, sometimes they went cold and sometimes hot every time the ears heard that and the eyes saw the form.
One year, the heart suffered major crazy uneven beats, wild pumps, getting hurt by those and still, that Donghae thing was remained unknown. The heart asked the air which just came inside the lungs, its closest neighbor, what Donghae was. A form of flesh, cells, nervous system, and organs, the air answered, so much like the body where the heart had stayed inside, the heart concluded.
The heart jumped, the throat gulped empty air mixed with saliva, the nervous system went crazy, unsure of what to act and react, pupils dilated wider than usual, blood ran faster than normal, the brain shook. Everything was chaotic, until the brain commanded ‘run!’, neurons sent the command to every part of body, and the body ran.
In one week, the eyes went on autopilot, it couldn’t be asked. Blood, later received news, the eyes saw a heart on a pair of other hands, still bleeding and pumping, and the hands offered it to the body. In one week, the brain malfunctioned, Donghae echoed all over the body, sent by neurons and the heart felt it was shriveled.
The heart was never be the same, going more uncontrollable after the commotion. Pumping wilder, until hit the ribs and sent pain to the chest, hurting the left lung and making it hard to inhale and exhale air.
It wanted to out. The heart wanted to get out from the body, tiring of the out of beat rhythms, pumping too many blood than normal, while it felt its size got smaller and smaller every day, shriveling.
Hitting the crib harsher, scratching the lungs, it thumped harder, harsher. The heart thought it itself was dying.
One ripping sound, flesh harrowing open, the heart felt a speck of light as fingers wrapped around, tearing it apart from veins, aortas, and venas. Finally, blood stains, sunlight, raw air, and maybe Donghae.
Sunlight but then a dark place with four cold black walls. The heart didn’t know where the body brought it.
It only felt, coldness and though without brain, the rest of its nervous system echoed Donghae louder, more often and made the remaining blood pumped out.
One particular time, the heart felt it was shriveled even more, unknown yet familiar blood seeped through the four walls, coloring the black into dark red, felt warm yet painful for the heart. The heart pumped harder, mixed the blood with the unknown blood.
Again a speck of light, but then again it was dark.
It didn’t know, how long it had been placed to this dark place. Separated from the brain, it couldn’t think, it just knew, it had been this long. The remains nervous system was dying one by one, leaving the heart numb, remain blood was running low, pumping faintly, saving some to live.
And again a speck of sunlight, the heart didn’t hope much, it was dying anyway. Fingers wrapping around, the heart felt a jolt, pumping harsh but this time somehow with a hope that felt alien inside. Wrapping around, the fingers felt right for the heart, sending unfamiliar nice feelings over its dying state. The faint nervous system whispered Donghae and in no time echoed in every blood cell, verticles, atriums and the remains veins.
Warm blood spilled on its surface, and the heart knew, it was the same blood that seeped through the four walls in that dark place once. The hands holding it were warm, but shaking in a painful tremor. The heart felt liquid dripped down to the heart’ surface, mixing together with blood, weirdly pricking inside and felt stingy.
Then another hand held it, fingers wrapped harshly, abruptly, forcing blood pumping out. And then again, the dark place, together with a painful feeling inside it.
Another speck of light, another wrapping fingers, the heart knew, it was the time to die.
Another hand, different fingers, a jolt of hope, the dying cell and nervous system inside the heart screamed ‘Donghae’ faintly.
The same liquid from before dripping down, left stingy pain to the heart’s dying form, the heart pericardium touched another heart’s pericardium, blood mixed together, weakly sending another hope of life.
Buzzing waves, and suddenly, the heart pumped wildly, pumping too much blood for the dying heart, too much until its last drop. The hearts stopped pumping, shrinking into a pile of round wrinkles.
The heart hoped it was ears so that it could decode the buzzing waves into words, the heart hoped the heart was still inside the body, so that it could ask brain what the words meant, it hoped the heart was the eyes, so that it could see how Donghae was. The heart hoped much, though all the hopes drifted away slowly.
The heart felt death was near, wondering, what the body would be without the heart. Would the body fall into the ground, lifelessly? Or would the body be still alive?
Another buzzing wave hit pericardium, and suddenly all the hope came back inside, together at once, overwhelming the heart and the heart beat a small beat.

Like it? Comments are love.
I don’t know how to say, but some people really enjoy being silent readers, and somehow, it kinda pissed me off. And this really makes me re-think about my decision about not doing any friends-cut.
Geez, I can’t believe myself that I’m blabbering about silent readers, usually I just shrugged them off. I already reached my limit I think.
As always, I accept any kind of comments.
