Give the detailed log please. btb, run xf86config command to re-setup X. btb, Why redhat 8 still? I suggest remove the whole thing and install something new.
whatever is mentioned in the link is very relevant... and i am doing the same thing, ie initially after booting the xfs status is dead, so i have to start it explicitly (which i never used to do before loading the device driver for internal modem)
well i think i have to customize the boot process.. was just wondering whether the problem is due to device driver r something else???
