Naruto? Seriously?

I got a bad impression of that Anime by watching the fans... Er, at Animethon... Okay, I'll shut up now.

Also, weren't we going to have coffee at some point? What happened to that? Did I drop the ball?

Yeah, I wasn't any better though, not doing any of my own follow up. Really gotta see about fixing that. You free sometime next week? Day, evening? I'll see if I can get your number somewhere and at least try to call you to set something down a little bit firmer.

Oh, and I'm not excited by the anime itself being made into a game, but, I will acknowledge it's significance in reaching this goal of animation that I've been desiring to see for so long. Were it Trigun or one many other animes out there, my opinions on whether just to download for "oooh, pretty" or purchase for "I'm a fanboy, I want more to come out, maybe by voting with my dollars I can see more," have a slightly different requirement than "SHINY!" though there have been purchases for that purpose (Gears of War, Metal Gear Solid, Grand Tourismo 5 Prologue) that I have appreciated fully both for shininess and for gameplay.

I do agree with the point of the post though, while i do admire and like in some cases the capacity of modern systems to simulate realistic graphics, it'd be nice to see that power mastered in such a way as to present other visual styles.

XIII was better for the comic book style, Paper Mario exaggerates the 2d feel in a 3d world.
