I just cut 12" of my hair off. I lost two pounds of hair (I checked before I left and when I got back.)!

Your hair looks gorgeous! I always wanted curls like that...instead I have baby fine straight hair. Isnt' that how it always works out though...straight haired girls always want the curls.

Ooh I love it! Very inspiring. I've begun the process of considering a haircut as well.

Thanks. :) I was pretty nervous... in the end, I just told the hairdresser that I trusted her. Granted, she'd never cut *my* hair before, but ultimately, we've gotta trust the people in those kinds of positions, you know?

Good luck!

You almost forget how curly it can be when it's grown out so long. The weight really pulls the curl into flat waves. It's very bouncy now.

Thanks! :)

How do you like it one week later?

Even more? :)

I'm getting used to it. When I put it in a ponytail, some of the shorter layers kind of fall out around my face, which is annoying, but I've gotten lots of compliments about it when I wear it down.

The thing is, when I have long hair, I always wear it up because it's too much work to style, so this is a good length, where I am finding more fun things to do that don't take too long. But knowing me, that won't last very long, and I'll soon be back to ponytails or buns all the time. ;)
