last week my dad very politely asked me if there was anything i wanted at the store. i told him i wanted pepperoni so i could have pepperoni, cheese and crackers. he left for the store. when he came back, i asked him where the pepperoni was. his response? "it was too expensive and besides, you don't need junk food

I don't think you needed to include your feelings...I can guess them anyway! I somehow don't see why someone would ask if you want something at the store, then not get it for you. If they're not going to get it anyway, they just shouldn't offer... it just doesn't make sense. Completely illogical.
