dog help

Ok its probably too last minute for this but I need some advice from other pet owners. I have to crate Zoe (my dog) during the day while I am at work. Should I put food and water inside the crate as well? Also, do I put a puppy pad in there?

if you are going to be gone 8 hours or so, no need to put food or water in the crate. They treat it like it's their den, so they won't pee in it. You could put a puppy pad in just in case, but chances are Zoe would eat it rather than pee on it.

I generally don't. Though I do toss treats in when he first goes in.

If she's an adult dog, she's probably old enough to go several hours. I'm thinking a puppy pad is only going to confuse the house-training situation.

I usually do the treats and put some toys in there.

Thanks!
