Insurance Bastards

So today my mom was informed by her insurance provider that she has reached her cap for prescriptions and she now has to find a lot of money to pay for her Alzheimer's medication. Fucking Bastards! That's all I can say right now. I have started looking for programs that can assist her. If anyone knows of any way she can get some help please let me

dad has that issue, too, with some of his arthritis meds.

I can suggest 2 things they've tried-

1) ask the doctor if they can help bridge the gap (sometimes the specialists get samples)

2) go to the drug manufacturer. Sometimes they're willing to help out (probably public relations).

We have been looking into other forms of medicare as well. Thank you for the advice we are going to look in to contacting the drug maker too.
