Well, not unless someone takes the time and effort to actually put an actual curse on it, and I highly doubt that they would. And besides, transferring the curse from person to person to person would weaken it, and by the time it gets to you, any curse on it would be really rather watered down.

More than likely, that since you read that you could get bad luck from a chain letter, and that you now think you have bad luck, and you've ignored chain letters, you're trying to figure out why you have the bad luck, and you're rationalizing something that can't be rationalized.

In plain English: chain letter no curse, bad luck the natural way.
