Fifty Favorite Books

Joe Hill posted his favorite fifty books today, and others have been joining the fun. Fifty, though...that's an awful lot of books, don't you think? Or maybe not. Here are my fifty favorite novels, in no particular order of preference. I'm not going to add any sort of summary, so you'll just have to trust that each one is written with aplomb

And yet, I adore both women's books. They're on the "save if the house is on fire" shelf in my room.

And no, I'm not being poetic - I really do have a bookshelf that goes out the bedroom window before me if the house goes up in flame. *grin*

It's always useful to have something heavy there, to break the glass in case of emergencies. If it happens to be a shelf of books, hey. So what? *nods sagely*

Yay! New books for me to chace down. Most of these I've never read, except for the last one.
