A gig.

I had my first gig in something like 8 years last night. Not counting doing a few songs at Dean's birthday parties at Bocce's Cellar in Santa Cruz each of the last few years. It was very, very small- really kinda a practice gig. Tiny venue, no audience to speak of, mostly people who had heard all the rehearsals

You probably don't really need a paid account, but if you decide you want one, I have $6 in LJ gift certificates sitting around that I could give you to reduce the price. The downside to a paid account is a lot of the features expire if you stop paying, so you kind of get hooked into it.

Bummer about the traffic and car break-in. At least you'll know for next time with the longer gig how much time to allow. I'm sorry I missed it (I've never heard you sing or play) but it sounds like given that I needed to leave at 8:30 I would have missed all the good stuff.

I'm glad you are viewing the problems as a "rite of passage." That's a positive attitude!!

If nothing else, I'd like to see you play some day, so it's good to know you are still enthusiastic to keep performing. :-)
