Let's me think of all the bits of news I have...
With Isaac unable to do Exalted during the week, our game pace will slow down for a few weeks. While the lack of an Exalted this week means I'll have less to do on Tuesday, it does give me more time to plan out their next quest. It all hinges on whether they choose to follow Kozue or not as she continues towards her goal, so I've got to plan a contingency to my main idea for if they don't bite. I also have to help Chelsea and Clay finish up their new characters so that they're ready to enter into the game.
BESM is still going well, though some tough times are ahead for a few of the players in their portions of the quest. Our schedule has actually returned to a fairly regular one in stark contrast to the last couple years, though Exalted will interfere for a few weeks.
We still have no DBZ sadly, though I haven't really talked to James about it ever; it just never feels like the right time whenever I find him alone. I did send him an e-mail as I left for Texas about everything, but I never heard anything from him about it. Since he likely read it, that doesn't bode well for any attempts to revive the game. But then again, I've known that since the beginning. Maybe I'll actually bring it up sometime.
Classes are going well. My Intro to Anthroplogy and my Geography courses are both rather dull, but they aren't too bad (especially if I smuggle in a Star with crossword and Sudoku). My other courses, Political Ideologies, Culture and Personality, Religion in America, and Modern Japanese History, are all awesome. The best thing about my schedule though is that most of my classes are in a giant block, making it much easier to attend classes.
Anime club and everything continues to go well. PAC Classic continues to have a totally awesome schedule, and despite the small number of people in attendance, we have a blast each week. Regular PAC's schedule isn't quite as good, but that's what you get for limiting yourself to rather recent shows. I need to stop stepping out into the hallway during Ah! My Goddess (which turns into me stepping out into the hallway for second half of the meeting).
I'm nearing the end of Dragon Quest VIII, meaning my days of ogling Jessica's rack are nearly over with. I'll miss them melons when I'm done. I'll be stepping into the potential land mine that is Suikoden Tactics afterwards. Didn't like a lot of what I heard from my brother, but he maintains the game is at least okay. Also, I still need to track down a copy of Guitar Hero.
Right now, I find myself wishing that I were still playing in a game like BESM or Exalted. Running a game is one thing, but I do dearly miss being a player instead of the GM. I'd love for DBZ to restart, and it'd also be awesome if somebody began an Exalted game I could play in (even have my general idea for a character pre-planned). Sometimes it gets a bit tiring to plan out stuff for a large group of people in two different games, but I'm committed to doing it. The games are always things that bring us all together, and I'm not about to kill off one of the best group activities we have. Turning slightly bitchy while going off on a tangent, I sometimes feel a bit miffed that James simply axed DBZ the way he did. The work likely got to be a bit too much, but he didn't even really consult with us before ending it; a mistake I would completely avoid should I ever decide to end either game. Being a GM, I understand that it's his perrogative to end a game, but I also feel that he has an obligation to the players to keep going as long as they're generally willing or to end it with their approval. I don't know what exactly prompted James to quit just like that because he is tight-lipped about the whole thing, so I don't really have room to make comments.
Here I was telling myself I wouldn't get caught up on writing about the games and just look what I did.
Anyways, that's it for now.
