Nanowrimo has begun!

Well, got my 1667 done. Normally (and hopefully in the future here too) I strive for 3000 a day--at least, I did in 2007, in Korea--but I was pretty tied up with other things I needed to take care of tonight and didn't have quite enough time to get that far in

Since they're busy doing some maintenance on the site right now, I thought I'd post here and look for you on nano later. or you could find me as ButterMouse. ^_^

That being said, I'm working on my first attempt at the novel writing month. I'm up to about 3000 words now, but I think I just sorta write as I get the ideas so I'm trying not to stress about getting this many words this day and feeling "OMG! I'm behind because I didn't write __ number of words" I actually find it discouraging to look at the nano stats page and having it tell me that I didn't meet my goals, when my only goal should be the 50000 words in 30 days.

I know I'm going to hit a wall with my ideas at some point in the week since I actually would like a plot and while my writing is kinda interesting sofar, I haven't developed the deeper conflict yet. I've got a catalyst at least, I hope it'll just happen while I brainstorm at work to music. My characters are talking to each other or themselves so it's a start.
