wedding and honeymoon

i am officially off the market just so that all my the ladies and hugs will not keep pawing me. all kidding aside my lady and i made the eternal commitment on saturday. i thought more of my friends list would be there except somehow i thought i had made and invitaion post, and i either forgot to post it or lj ate it. who knows. so my appoligies to all who didn't know until now.
dwivian performed what i thought was one of best wedding ceremonies i have ever seen. it was not long, but it was very meaningful, and thoughtfull and that was exactly what we were looking for. he brough with him his lovely wife elfgirl, and also in attendence were digitaldevil and his lady ginger_g. had way to much food left over, but a good time was had by all. now we didn't spend as much money as most people do on a wedding, but i am so far past broke it isn't funny.
left on sunday for 4 days in my second favorite city.....new orleans. i, myself have visited several time, but dorothy has never been. the dj for the wedding booked us at the hilton riverside through the harrah's casino and it only cost us $79 a night for the nicest room i recall staying in. for those of you who have never been don't know that big easy, espicially the french quarter has a smell that can never be mistaken for anything else. took some getting used to for my lady. the ladies ncaa basketball tourney was in town, not to mention spring break for many. nice crowd. i have been for new years, and that was pretty packed, but not mardi gras kinda packed. of course we dined at the court of two sisters, ralph and cakoos, cafe mephisto, cafe du monde, pat o'briens, and mulattos. took a bit of getting used to for her and the food too......but she is ready to go back. i drank my share and most of her share of hurricanes. we paid for a ghost tour that is supposedly pretty popular, and nothing wrong with a tour that starts in a bar, and ends in a different one, and not to mention they drinks were half priced for pre-paying for the tour. yeah.......who was half in the bag by 2100 and the start of the tour? yeppers.....that would be me......the maddest mexican in the quarter for 4 days. i miss her already......... :(

drove through slidell, and waved and honked but i don't think that disturbedangei knew to expect me. made the drive home in 6.25 hours and i was at home long enough to put on my uniform, and head to my commandry meeting that incidently was at the lodge i was married at. very strange.......that is where i was married and started my honeymoon.......and i was there 30 minutes after my honeymoon was over.........or better yet.........i just took a pause to catch my breath.
