AKA I may have to find a new church to attend.  LOL!  Ever have one of those moments when all other sound just suddenly stops right as you are making an "aside" to someone and more people hear you than you intended?  So, the pastor is hitting us hard with the Sermon on the Mount--in particular, the importance of not being judgmental.  He brings it ( Read more... )

Heh heh! Well, if I manage to make it through the greetings next week without wishing for a hole in the ground to swallow me up, I'll be fine. LOL!

o.O LOL

Oh no! That's horrible. Please tell me your pastor has a sense of humor (although by the imaginary punishment, I'm guessing not...).

Actually, he laughed, too. He seems like a laid-back guy, but he's new here and I was hoping to make a better impression on him. *grins sheepishly*

This is why I'd never make it sitting in church. The only way I could go was if I was singing in the choir or playing handbells or something.

And seriously - a question like that was just begging for an answer.

Exactly! Just because he's a minister doesn't mean he should go asking questions like that. ^_~ (I really need to work on my whispering, though. LOL!)

Me, too! I work in a cube world, and I fail at whispering. I just can't seem to do it. Not only that, I can't hear others that are whispering directly to me, either.

a whisper is merely a breath with no vocal vibration.

i don't see what's so bad, i'm sure that you only stated what most people were thinking. next thing you know-- people will be begging to sit with you so they can catch bits of your wit and humor.

Heh heh! No, it's really not so bad at all--just a bit embarrassing to be caught being myself in church. ^_~ LOL! You know how it is when you're somewhere where you usually try to put your best foot forward. And you could be right--my father-in-law thinks I'm a hoot.
