The FFNet Meme (proving I am a shameless copycat)

Apr 16, 2009 08:50

I was so intrigued by some of the personal recommendations revealed, along with confessions of what has been the most difficult for some of my f-listers, that I had to do this one myself.  Besides, FF has all those great stats so nicely compiled, why not put them to use?

one where someone's head ends up in an anal orifice.

I just interupted a meeting because I just laughed really loud at that. Huzzah!

Congrats on completing so much fanfiction. My favorite of yours is probably " The Point of the Story" because of the heroic way you paint Inuyasha. As a medievalist,I have always been a sucker for the romantic hero who fights for his beloved even though he can never have her.

I still think you should gather all of the suspects in one room and have the spirit detectives announce the killer ala Hercule

You don't know how very tempting that idea is! (I may have to write a side piece doing just that. ^_~)

In my own writing, it always surprises me what people actually like. I have a 100 word vague PWP BtVS drabble posted on a Yahoo!Group that has more reviews than anything I've posted elsewhere.

one where someone's head ends up in an anal orifice.

I'm also snickering at that one.

"Black Widow Miko" is my favorite Kag/Hiei. I can't wait for "The Monk's Wife" either. It sounds interesting.

It's very interesting to see what catches someone's attention, isn't it? There really is no predicting it.

Aw, thanks! I'm really glad you like BWM. (And I really am working on getting this next chapter out. I just revamped my outlines for the last chapters and I have about half of chapter 16 done.) And I hope "The Monk's Wife" works out. When the idea hit me, I was really in love with it, but when I tried to write it out during NaNoWriMo, I kept having problems with it. I think I am slowly smoothing out those out, though, and my enthusiasm for it is rising again. ^_^ (I won't let myself actively work on it until BWM is done.)

I have a confession to make - I haven't read much of your stuff because I really never liked YYH.
*hangs head*
I've read your other stuff, though, and enjoy it!!

"I have a confession to make - I haven't read much of your stuff because I really never liked YYH."

Don't sweat it! I don't expect anyone to read a story featuring a pairing they don't like. I will never ask anyone--especially my friends--to do that. ^_^ I know I am hanging on the fringes of the IY fandom. ^_~ But Kagome is my heroine, and I haven't found a female character in ANY other manga series I like as well. And it isn't that I DISlike the rest of the IY characters--really, I love them all. I just love Hiei more. LOL! And I really enjoy blending the worlds of the two series.

Truthfully, I have a lot of axes to grind with Togashi over the way his mental illnesses killed YYH. I can't believe anyone with his inconsistencies is a respected mangaka. But he did create a wonderful world and fascinating characters for me to play with. Just don't get me started on the manga v. the anime. Some anime studios should be bulldozed.

(I guess having Naraku flash people while wearing the baboon skin works. lol!)

If that doesn't get people to review, I don't know what would!
