Today makes 19. That poor, long-suffering man. ^_~ And to celebrate this auspicious occasion, Mason and I shared a Pina Colada Fruitista Freeze from Taco Bell. LOL! Today was spent waiting for last night's sleepover guest, who arrived around lunchtime yesterday, to go home, which he finally did around 1:30 this afternoon. Of course, he was no sooner out the door than 2 more of the boys' buddies showed up. (Yes, one of them is still here. Our house is THE place to hang out. ^_^) Mason had a budget meeting which lasted for hours. One boy had a guitar lesson, which had been rescheduled due to a baseball game, followed by a baseball game. We had two "get the cat!" chases because our cat is in heat, (you know--like all those male youkai), and our front door gets opened 1,326 times a day. (I counted.) Our cable and internet went out, requiring a call to Time Warner, whose operator told me, "Oh, we know about that outage." "That's nice. Planning to do anything about it?" Thankfully, they did. ^_^ My Mom called me three times. She wished me a Happy Anniversary, then had to call back to fill me in on all the family news going on since she was here this weekend. Then she had to call me again because she had talked to someone else. Yes, the news in my family changes that quickly, and no, I won't bore you with it. Turn on Springer and you'll get the drift. (I never watch the show for fear I'll recognize someone.) Let's see. Dishes, laundry, cooking, sweeping. Yes, I think that covers my anniversary. Plus the conversation with the new neighbor where she asked me if my sons climb on the roof all the time because they were giving her kids ideas. Give me a break. They were getting a ball off the roof. And don't blame me if your kid falls off your roof. (But you will get 4 kittens if your kid lets my cat out again. ^_~) Avalon and I did get to spend a leisurely half hour picking flowers and swinging this afternoon. That was nice. ^_^
All of this was better than last year, which I forgot, (oops!), and the year before, when Mason was out of town.
We are planning to celebrate Friday by going out for dinner and a movie. I'm looking forward to seeing the remake of "The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3." (And the buttered popcorn!) I can count the minutes until our "date" on my new Hiei watch, compliments of the World's Best Husband. ^_^
Update: By my count, there are now 4 extra boys running around here, playing "manhunt" in the dark, and one of them just ate my anniversary Volcano Burrito. Does anyone know if 19 is the year of the bologna sandwich?
