I posted my first chapter of my first fanfic, "Hentai Bets," at MediaMiner on November 9, 2006. I thought this would be a good time to take stock of where I am now.
Where do I post? MM and FF are my home sites, but I also post a few pieces on AFF and DA. This year is the first time I posted fics on LJ.
I currently have 2 multi-chaptered stories up--1 complete, 1 almost complete. ^_~
I have 1 poem up.
I have a collection of one-shots/vignettes/almost-drabbles with 12 pieces in it.
I have 10 separate, long one-shots up on MM and FF.
I have 2 pieces that are only up on LJ and DA.
I have 1 piece that is only up on DA.
So, that's a total of 28 pieces. Doesn't seem like much for 3 years. *sigh*
I have written a total of 580,097 words of fic that have been posted. However, only 68,867 were written in the last year. That's 5 pieces plus 2 chapters of BWM. Pathetic! On the positive side, this year's writing includes my personal favorite, "The Point of the Story," some killer parts of BWM, and my only "yaoi" piece--even if it is completely tongue-in-cheek. *snicker*
I checked the handy-dandy stats at FF for more info. "Hentai Bets" still has the most faves there with 186. It's in the most C2s, too: 33. But BWM finally overtook it on reviews. HB=316, BWM=323. (HB's popularity on FF surprises me because it's not even close on MM--HB has 300 reviews there and BWM has 499.) I am also still extremely surprised by how popular "The Crystal Forest" is on FF: 93 faves, 14 C2s, and 50 reviews for a one-shot--a songfic, no less! LOL!
As an author, I am on 245 faves and 147 author alerts on FF.
Last year, I started another multi-chaptered story during NaNo and still haven't posted any of it. (But darn if it isn't starting to call to me NOW when I am trying desperately to focus on THIS YEAR'S NaNo project. *sigh*) I still haven't written anything for 50kinkyways. (Though I may just take the night off of NaNo and write one just to have something to POST. ^_~) And oh, the many pieces I thought I would have written up by now! All things considered, my productivity has fallen off badly. So, here's hoping my next year's stats show a different story! ^_~
