I appear to be watching Primeval

I'm trying to figure out how a series can be so good and so terrible all at once.

It's like, I spend half my time yelling at the telly about the how the evolution of flight didn't work like that and when will Connor (who has a textbook case of Nice Guy which is already starting to edge into creepy) die painfully and horribly? and the other half ( Read more... )

Oh, this makes me very happy! Primeval is indeed both fantastic and fantastically terrible at one and the same time, which makes it perfect fandom fodder.

There is absolutely no excuse for having Abby in her knickers so often - in fact, it incensed me so much I bailed when the series was first shown on tv. I think the actress rebelled because she's fully dressed by series two and remains that way. *g* Connor is lovely. But should you ever make it to the Denial comm you will find plenty of others (equally misguided) who share your opinion.

Pretty plus dinosaurs plus angst. It really doesn't get better than that.

I knew I had an active Primeval fan on my FList! I'd forgotten who it was.

The knickers thing was ridiculous! Particularly the first twice it happened, which were in different episodes but I swear she was wearing the same knickers! So my main thoughts the third time were relief that she appeared to have changed them! Also, she IS extremely pretty.

I think Connor suffers from (apart from being smarmy and creepy and wearing something dangerously close to a fedora) the fact that he looks and frequently acts very like a work colleague to whom I sadly have to be nice, even though he treats female staff in a horribly patronising and unprofessional manner. I think it weren't for that I'd probably just mildly dislike him.

I've just finished the pterosaurs episode. Gutted that we didn't see more of the Pteranodon, but the little psycho things (pterosaurs? and Helen) were a welcome bonus.
