A Confluence of Stupidity and Laziness

Freaking worse start to a new year I've had yet. Stepped out to go to work yesterday morning and found my car window smashed. Called the boss and swore like I've never done before when something he said made me realise I'd left my wallet in the car yesterday. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck ( Read more... )

Oh, ouch. Very sorry. Hope cards are cancel-able and that you didn't lose too much cash.

Yep, cancelled all my cards. Lost about $300 that mom just gave me and a $300 bonus gift card from the bosses. I can deal with all the major pain of replacing cards and a car window but the feeling of being vulnerable in my own home saddens me. I've lost a little more of my faith in mankind too. And that wasn't high to begin with. I feel like getting a tall fence, a big baseball bat and a mean dog now.

The one time I left the removable face on my CD player in the car was the time my car got busted into. I feel your pain. Sorry someone started your year off on the wrong foot. Hopefully it can only get better from here!

Fuck, that sucks, dude. Sorry. :/ Similar thing happened to me last year, car got broken into during Christmas shopping and all of my gifts were taken. But having your wallet/id stolen sucks worse.

ot, but your icon never ceases to amuse me lol

Yeah. Oh no, that's terrible. What a lousy-assed Christmas that was! I hope Christmas 2009 was better for you, at least. Ugh, yeah, all the time spent on replacing everything is just a pain. I don't even remember what all I have in the wallet to replace. Had to take a day off work just to do the car window and get a new driver's licence. Thank goodness it's not raining lol.

:D Glad you like it. Glee is really helping me get over my crappy new year.

People are officially assholes, but then, we already knew that. Girl I used to work with when I was at Coles had her care busted into twice in the span of about six months, both times, they nicked her phone. The second time, she and her boyfriend had actually left their mobiles in the car to be safer as the area they were wandering around isn't the best.

And you can't be called stupid for this happening and anyone who does is a retarded dickhead. [nods sagely]

Think of it like a bad morning: it has to improve.

Poor girl! I don't understand that; is there a market for used phones? Unless it's something really expensive or something that you can pawn.

Haha great. Are you gonna change your mind about calling me stupid if I said I left my phone in my pocket while cockling on the beach last weekend and it got wet and now it likes to randomly switch off by itself? :P

Oh dear, I so understand how you're feeling/what you're going through because I've been there. *hugs* *gives you chocolate*
It sucks to have your wallet stolen. You're right tho, your year can only get better after this. :)

:) Thanks! The good thing is after-Christmas sales are still on so I got a nice new leather wallet for cheap.
