Nerd Swap
I joined a online group on Ravelry.com that xtrainingwheels started called Nerd Swaps. The rules are you sign up for the swap and you are assigned a partner. You make a handmade item and send it to your partner with a edible treats, a ball of yarn, and something other misc. item. The theme of this swap was 'fairy tales'

The partner I got said that she like Alice in Wonderland so I made her a Mad Hatter's hat! Here is a better shot of the hat.
This is what I got back!
My partner chose to do a Sleeping Beauty swap gift for me. She made a shawl in a similar style to Princess Aurora’s from the Disney movie. She included a drop spindle with two small bags of rovings, a brown skein of yarn, and a super cute rose ring. And gummies! They were delicious! She also included a lovely handwritten note with a Aurora watermark showing her wearing her shawl. I thought the drop spindle was a nice little touch for a Sleeping Beauty package.
You can’t tell from the picture, but the shawl is beautifully crocheted and is lovely soft and squishy. I am wearing the ring today, even though it really doesn't match my outfit, haha.
