I am posting this only because I promised myself that I would. I didn't get to take pictures of the gifts I gave Courtney's family but here is the rest of the stuff I knitted over break. I put most of this stuff up on Raverly but since they are very touchy about categories I didn't bother putting some of my stranger stuff up there.
These are leg warmers. They are very warm and are very thick. They are also kind of ugly since I wasn't very picky with the yarn I chose to make them with. They fit very nicely though. They fit like this...
http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c5/markthehippie/100_0535.jpg This is a wrist band or wrist warmer. It was my first attempt at knitting a pattern into one of my projects. They fact that you can actually tell it's a star excites the hell out of me. This project was sort of a cop-out since I knitted it flat then sewed it together to make it a circle.
Peace out man.
This is what I call my fancy scarf. It looks like it has little eyes all over it. It took a bitch-long time too make so I sort of hate it now, but it's pretty enough to sell if I ever work up the energy.
Man, that hat would be my favorite thing ever if it wasn't that color. After I made a scarf for
f_l_a_i_r out of that yarn I was really tired of using that color yarn, but I wanted to use it up so I made a hat with it. It was my first time making a pom pom. It was surprisingly easy and fun.
Courtney was kind enough to model the hat for me. I would just like to mention that this hat is perfect. There is not a single mistake in that hat. Ever knit is exactly as it should be. Scary? Perhaps a little.
These are what I'm really proud of. They are my lovely fingerless gloves. I punched the grommets in myself. I had no idea what I was doing the entire time I was knitting them but they turned out really nice. Technically, they are my greatest achievement yet. I really like them :D
So pretty :3
This one was... weird. I don't know if I like it or not. It was supposed to be a hat but it wasn't working out so I turned in upside down and put a handle on it. Chelsea calls it a "bee with algae on it". I think that's a apt description of it.
This is a knitted mini-tapestry I did while watching the second Lord of the Rings at Courtney's house. I really just wanted to use up some odd bits and ends of yarn I had lying around and I thought doing some kind of pattern would do the trick. I did run out of the cream and grey but I still have too much but too little of the red and white. It's annoying how long yarn can stick around, even when you don't want it to.
Finally, I thought I would post a picture of a rather nice scarf I did over Thanksgiving break. Not really relevant, but I like it because it was the first really ribbing I did that work really well.
