I'm 20 years old and I want to dye my hair an unnatural colour now before i progress deeper into my 20's and acquire more responsibilities that would prevent such a self indulgent exercise. I feel like this is my last chance to have blue hair.

dis is me/my hair now

I think you'll be fine. I've bleached my hair to get it like bright purple and a million other colors. I mean sure its bad for your hair kinda, but it won't totally kill it, don't be that scared, just use conditioner or whatever and you'll be fine haha

Lol I love all the "DAMAGED HAIR SUCKS BALLSS OMG DON'T DO IT" comments. It's just HAIR. It grows back. It won't kill you if it's a bit dry.
Also, I've been bleaching my hair for quite some time and my hair is always a bit dry at first and after three nights of sleeping with my hair soaked in olive oil it's fine again.

DO IT. It'd be awesome.

I never knew so many people were so hardcore against bleach. It really isn't all that scary.
My hair is about the same color as yours, it took two bleach jobs to get it light enough for blue and it isn't in bad shape either (I wouldn't suggest much more than that though, although it depends on the developer you use), and it might only take one if you are going for a greenish blue like this anyway (I did a true blue).
If everyone has scared you out of it by now, try dying the front half. It's pretty satisfying, you get the pop of color you want but don't have to bleach it all. Highlights are never as satisfying as this little trick has been for me.

Good luck, either way!

There is a blogger named Zoetica Ebb that loves dying her hair all sorts of colors. And she does a damn good job of it! I would recommend you read her tips on dying it blue. her website is www.biorequiem.com
