Multi-Color Mantenance: an Answer

i have black in my hair and one side is light blue..i have no problems washing it..i wash it all in the shower and the black never sticks to the blue..but maybe everyones hair is different

I put the info about using a color-enhancing conditioner in my previous entry and forgot to put it in this entry. Sorry.

I use a red-enhancing conditioner on the red part, or the red fades really fast, but if I get it on the blonde part, it starts turning a peachy color, and I start losing the contrast that I love.

I also go to Gene Juarez Academy and your student artist was absolutely correct. If you have a lightened pieces with the red, you need to wash each section separately so the colors don't run onto each other. With the red, it's really important that you don't shampoo everyday and when you do, you need to use a color safe shampoo (like vitamino by L'oreal) and as cold as water as you can stand.
