So today I decided that I was going to clean my M.A.C. brush (129). I'm getting quite nervous about it. Both women I had talked to months earlier (one from Chanel, the other from M.A.C.) told me that I needed to clean my brushes under luke warm water with a shampoo thats for color treated hair. Well, its not washing it that I'm worried about. I want to prolong the life of my "high quality" brushes so I don't have to spend another forty (what my chanel brush cost) in another two months or so. If I'm going to use something that would potentially harm my brushes, I would like to know before hand, or what would be the best method (cleaner) to go about the care of my brushes.

buttttt. baby shampoo.. wouldnt that be the most gentle?

the mac brush cleaner works good, personally i wouldn't risk it with shampoo
