thanks for the love! Usually I get to just bitch about this stuff on IM. That is why I never use this LJ thing. Without AIM I am finding this a nice alternative :)

Two posts in one day?! Wow!

That is REE-DIK-YOU-LUSS! At FW we get... whatever we spent... minus alcohol. But if the government is going to make this law, then it's going to draw attention to it and our policy is probably going to change now too. They may be tribal, but they're very strict around here about following all the tax laws .

Ugh. I kinda think that the government officials aren't eating at Subway when they're on their business trips. Oh? Ambassador to Belgium you say? Oh sure, let's have lunch. There's a lovely Taco Bell just across the street... hm...

OK, so I don't have time to more than skim this: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p1542.pdf but it looks like there's a lodging max too... which is worse than the food. You couldn't stay at the worst fleabag in the area for the rates they're giving for Southeastern CT.

I'm not bring this up to our PTB. I hope they never see it.

There is a limit to the amount they will pay with receipts and a limit on per diem. Different amounts but there you go....fun fun fun.

Wow! Twice in one day..... *feels faint*

Sorry the new policy sucks so much. You've been not liking this job for a while anyway though. Maybe this is the universe's way of telling you it's time to skeedaddle?
