Ugh, I was just blind-sided by the kids. I just read Lydia's kindergarten orientation is on 8/9 and her first day of elementary school is 8/14....and it FREAKED ME OUT! I knew it, planned it, but somehow I thought it wouldn't start until the last week of August..like that week would make it any better...oh my gosh...school shopping, real school,

Trust me, once you adjust to it, it's a beautiful thing to be done with wipes, diaper bags, accidents, hell-bebe tantrums complete with carpet swimming displays, tumbles down the steps, digging through trash cans, shit smears on walls and completely irrational fears. Treasure baby days but believe that life gets sooo much easier as they become more self-sufficient.
