My brother called from Iraq the day after the elections there. We were all really worried about him, but really relieved that he called. He sounded really tired, but it was good to hear his voice. Yeah, I can sympathise with your mom. I haven't been able to sleep very well since Nocolas left. But at least we get to see him halfway through! I can't wait to see the new kitten now that she's all playful and friendly! I must come back to Houston. Hang in there at work Mareng, even though people are mean. That's really funny about the tacky lace boxes! Haha. I miss you all too; we must have a reunion! Suz- Go to penguin ice cream! Mareng- I am not either evil! And if I go to FSU you have to stay there til I graduate.

Point of clarification,
The part of Iraq that I'm in has LOTS of irrigation canals and is horrendously muddy. The farmers here grow tomatos, onions, cabbage and such. There are also about 45 million sheep and goats. I thought it would be a horrible desert wasteland too, but that is Kuwait and western Iraq. I was surprised by the amount of water here. I think the watertable here is like 4 feet. Its actually cool, until summer when it will be horrible and full of flies and mosquitos. Anyway, miss you skank.

I miss you too Noc!! That's interesting about Iraq... Anyway, Mom and I went shopping for you today! I hope you like beef jerky, because Good Lord, we bought enough to feed an army (which is strangely appropriate...). Stay safe! Love you!

Who knew they grew things like tomatoes in Iraq? Not me. Do you have mosquito repellant? Cuz if not I will buy you some. No encephilitis allowed...unless it means you get to come home.

Ooooh, yes! Get a minor case of encephilitis so you can come home, Smally McPox! A little brain swelling never hurt anyone...
