Seriously. He's done a good job over there- all his guys think so- but they downgrade him because of politics. It's ridiculous. I continue to be amazed by how little compassion the Army shows. Everyone has a mother- how can you not sympathize with someone whose mother is ill? What if their mothers were dying and people just told them "too bad"? There's no reason that the Army should treat its people (especially the ones who aren't idiots...you'd think they'd want to hang on to those...) that way. It'd be nice if people in leadership positions weren't so devoid of human decency and treated those under them like they were people instead of treating them like they have no worth whatsoever. Imagine that. Since when did the ideal go from being inspiring to being utterly derisive?
