Birdoswald, Lake Country, and York

It took us a little while to get going yesterday morning due to some internet issues, but we eventually got underway and followed the signs to Hadrian's Wall and Birdoswald Roman Fort.

Don't know Birdoswald but it would be worth my while going thither next time from the sound of it. The Roman camp at Vindolanda is pretty awesome, though, and I have seen that.

York Minster will knock your socks off. You will know this by now!

I loved the walls in York. Also the archeological museum/dig - it's kinda aimed at kids so has lots of activities, but enough real info to keep adults interested.
I look forward to hearing about York Minster - we didn't have enough time to go inside as we had to get to Manchester in time for dinner with foxe, and the traffic round Leeds was hellish...
